Fitment Alert: Bronco Painted Hardtop Compatibility

READ BEFORE PURCHASING: Certain Ford Bronco Painted Hardtops feature a shallow rear clamshell mounting point design that is incompatible with TrailRax Roof Racks. You must manually measure your rear clamshell mounting points to ensure a safe installation.

Step 1: Locate the Measurement Points

Identify the two areas on your hardtop indicated in the image below. You must check the mounting point depth at both the rear quarter window and right behind the passenger door sections as shown in the photo.

Step 2: Measure the Depth

To verify compatibility, we just need a few measurements of the rear mounting points and the slots for them (see image above). On the rear of your four door hard top, there are four OEM mounting clamp locations. At the bottom of each is a small slot. We need the depth of that slot. If it measures around 1 inch, the rack should fit properly. If it is closer to 0.5 inch, it will unfortunately not be compatible.

You can measure by using a digital caliper (best method) or by placing a ruler directly into the slot while keeping it fitted against the top of the slot looking down or by marking the depth with a piece of card board and measuring it afterward. Once you have that measurement, send it over with a photo and we will be happy to confirm for you. You are also welcome to call while measuring and we can walk through it together.

Purchasing a rack for a vehicle that does not meet the 1.0" requirement will void your warranty and may result in damage to your vehicle or rack failure.
